Job summary

Jobtailor in Ireland (Cork) is seeking a software engineer to design and develop high-quality, scalable systems and services aligned with architectural standards and product requirements.

You will own complex features from design through deployment, implement security best practices including OAuth2, OIDC, and RBAC, and work with AWS serverless and event-driven technologies. Collaboration with peers and DevOps is expected.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of software development experience in distributed or SaaS environments.
• Strong experience in Node.js/TypeScript or Java (Spring Boot).
• Familiarity with React or modern front-end frameworks.
• Solid understanding of RBAC and SaaS security principles.
• Experience with observability, metrics, logging, and tracing.

Responsibilities

• Own complex features or components from design through deployment.
• Collaborate with Principal Engineers, Architects, Product Managers, and DevOps.
• Build and enhance services using AWS serverless, event-driven and container-based tech.
• Apply authentication, authorization, and security best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and CI/CD pipelines.
• Improve metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting.
• Address reliability risks and continuous improvement opportunities.
