Job summary

Bounce Insights in Dublin is seeking a highly capable Senior Software Engineer to join our Engineering team. You will design and deliver scalable software, collaborating with product and design to build robust features and ensure high-quality code.

You will work across the full stack, implement tests, participate in code reviews, and help shape a culture of performance, quality, and continuous improvement in a fast-growing company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent hands-on portfolio.
• Strong CS fundamentals: OOP, algorithms, data structures.
• 4–5+ years of industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality software and architecture.
• Produce clean, efficient code based on specs.
• Implement and maintain robust testing for applications.
• Participate in peer code reviews to enhance code quality.
• Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting.
• Collaborate with engineers to design and implement new features.

Title: Senior Software Engineer

Location: Dublin City (Hybrid: 3 days on-site, 2 days remote)

Department: Engineering

Reports to: Engineering Team Lead

Standard Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Purpose of Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Senior Software Engineer to join our Dublin team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects, gain hands-on experience with the latest technologies, and play a key role in shaping the future of our products. You will work alongside a small, experienced team of developers, gaining invaluable knowledge and experience in designing scalable and high-performing software platforms.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, programming, or a related field, OR a portfolio of live technology systems built and deployed.
• Solid understanding of core computer science concepts such as object-oriented design, algorithm design, data structures, problem-solving, and complexity analysis.
• 4-5+ years of industry experience.
• Experience with JavaScript, React, NodeJS, Firebase, Express, AWS, GCP, OpenAI, and CircleCI.
• Experience with Jest testing framework.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases.
