Job summary

Solventum is hiring a Senior Software Development Engineer to join the backend team, focusing on AI and speech-recognition powered solutions that reduce physician burnout and improve patient engagement.

In this role you will work with product, UX, and engineering teams, participate in sprint planning and design discussions, and help scale backend systems in a remote Ireland-based setup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field and 4+ years software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in C#, JavaScript frameworks, Node.js, Go or Python.
• Experience with cloud platforms and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world working with our AI and Speech Recognition technology driven cutting edge product by:

• Taking on the role of Software Engineer and contributing to the backend of applications targeted at reducing physician burnout and increasing physician patient engagement.
• Taking ownership of solutions meant to improve the quality of clinical documentation and improving patient care.
• Solving interesting and complex problems using state of the art technology with impactful outcomes.
• Working together with the customers, user experience, and other product groups.
• Participating in and making your mark on the team’s software development process

How you will make an impact

• Contributing code to a diverse and hybrid product codebase (backend)
• Performing code reviews
• Participating in sprint planning and task breakdown
• Creating design documents and peer reviewing design documents

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or higher AND 4+ years of experience as a Software Engineer
• High School Diploma/GED from AND 10 years of experience as a Software Engineer AND 4+ years of experience working with one or more of the following modern programming languages C#, JavaScript Frameworks (React/Angular), Node.JS, Go, Python
• Working knowledge of Cloud based platforms such as AWS/Azure/GCP
• Working knowledge of container-based technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes

Work location: Ireland Remote - based in Ireland Travel: May include up to "1%" domestic; "1%" International travel Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
