I’m currently recruiting for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join a global technology organisation in Dublin.
This is a 12 month contract with potential for extension, supporting a major AI, Data and User Experience programme.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced SRE to work on the platforms and infrastructure supporting the next generation of AI capabilities.
The focus is not simply on keeping applications running. You’ll be involved in improving the reliability, scalability and automation of the underlying platforms, while helping drive a broader DevOps transformation across the organisation.
You’ll work closely with development, operations and product teams, helping improve how services are designed, deployed, monitored and operated.
You’ll be involved across the full lifecycle of services, from design and deployment through to production support and continuous improvement.
This will include improving system reliability and performance, supporting production environments, monitoring availability and latency, automating operational processes and identifying opportunities to improve resilience.
You’ll also play an important role in the CI/CD and release process, helping ensure software can move safely and efficiently through environments with the right operational controls in place.
When production issues arise, you’ll take a hands-on approach to troubleshooting, working across the technology stack to identify root causes and reduce time to recovery. You’ll also contribute to blameless post incident reviews and ensure lessons learned translate into meaningful improvements.
The environment includes Unix, Shell Scripting, SQL and Python, alongside technologies such as Apache NiFi, Splunk, Dynatrace, Jenkins, Git and XLR.
Strong experience with Splunk and Dynatrace is particularly relevant, as is experience building and supporting CI/CD environments using tools such as Jenkins, Git/BitBucket, Maven, Artifactory and Chef.
The team is also working with AI and Agentic workflows, so candidates who have experience supporting AI, machine learning, data platforms or large scale distributed systems will be of particular interest.
Experience with languages such as Java, Python, Go, C, C++, Perl or Ruby would also be beneficial.
We’re looking for an experienced SRE, DevOps or Platform Engineer who enjoys solving complex technical problems and improving the way production environments operate.
You’ll need strong troubleshooting and automation skills, experience working with production systems and the ability to work effectively across development, operations and product teams.
A systematic approach to problem solving, strong communication and a genuine sense of ownership are important.
Fintech or financial services experience would be an advantage.
If you’re an experienced SRE or DevOps Engineer looking for a role combining SRE, automation, DevOps, AI and large scale technology platforms, I’d be very interested in speaking with you.
