Global Professional Consultants (GPC) is seeking a Senior Site Manager for a large housing project in Waterford, Ireland. The role requires driving site operations from tender through to handover, with a focus on delivering high-quality residential units on schedule.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in site management for housing developments, experience on 40+ unit projects, and strong leadership and communication skills in English. Eligibility to work in Ireland is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience on high-volume housing projects (40+ units) advantageous in Ireland or the UK.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with quantity surveyors to manage project budget.
• Create comprehensive project plans including scheduling, program management and risk assessment.
• Disseminate vital information to site teams and stakeholders.
• Oversee site team to ensure project is delivered on time.

Job description

Due to continued growth, new contracts and an extensive pipeline of work, one of Ireland's top Developer/Builders are hiring a Senior Site Manager for a large project in Waterford. This project consists of a mix of apartments, duplexes and houses. There is also a second site with 89 houses to be built.

Duties:

• Ensure that all project activities adhere to established planning, health and safety, and environmental standards, while maintaining a commitment to high-quality outcomes.
• Take on the comprehensive responsibility for the project's progress, commencing from the tender stage and extending through construction to the final handover.
• Collaborate with the broader team, including quantity surveyors, to effectively manage and monitor the project budget.
• Put together comprehensive project plans, encompassing elements such as scheduling, program management, and risk assessment.
• Serve as the conduit for vital information dissemination to site teams, crucial stakeholders, and collaborative partners within your assigned project area.
• Oversee the site team, both directly and indirectly, to ensure that the project is executed according to the planned timeline

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Site Management roles within the purview of either a primary contractor or a developer.
• Prior exposure to high-volume housing projects is highly advantageous, particularly those encompassing 40 units or more.
• Well-documented history of successful oversight in the management of extensive, high-quality housing ventures, whether within Ireland or the UK.
• Adept at spearheading and guiding teams effectively.
• Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail in all aspects of work.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English is mandatory, and eligibility to work in Ireland is a requisite.
• Experience in groundworks and site development processes would be viewed as a valuable asset

Salary:

• Salary circa €80k - €90k NEG DOE
