Job summary

Walls Construction in Ringaskiddy, County Cork, seeks a Senior Site Engineer to lead on-site control and delivery of building elements. You will oversee setting-out, liaise with clients and subcontractors, and ensure compliance with plans and safety standards.

The role requires Civil Engineering qualifications with 4+ years’ experience at a Main Contractor, and hands-on use of total stations, GPS, and laser levels. A strong eye for detail and independent problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience as Site Engineer with a Main Contractor.
• Proven experience using setting-out equipment (total stations, GPS and laser levels).
• Strong knowledge of temporary works coordination.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise setting out engineers to ensure accurate, efficient work.
• Inspect shuttering, reinforcement and dimensional compliance prior to pours; reconcile materials.
• Review plans and drawings to verify calculations and design/spec compliance.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, clients, consultants and other stakeholders.
• Oversee quality control and health & safety compliance on site.
