Job summary

Design Build Search is seeking a Senior Site Engineer to support the Construction Management Team on building projects in Ireland. You will provide on-site control, oversee setting-out and coordinate site activities to ensure delivery.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree and at least 4 years with a main contractor. Proficiency with total stations, GPS and laser levels, and a strong grasp of temporary works coordination are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years' experience in a Site Engineer role with a Main Contractor.
• Proven experience using setting-out equipment such as total stations, GPS, and laser levels.
• Strong knowledge of temporary works coordination.
• Excellent attention to detail with ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise setting out engineers to ensure works are delivered accurately and efficiently.
• Inspect shuttering, reinforcement, and dimensional compliance prior to concrete pours, and maintain accurate materials reconciliation records.
• Review plans and drawings to verify accuracy of calculations and ensure compliance with design and specifications.
• Liaise with subcontractors, clients, consultants, and other project stakeholders to coordinate site activities.
• Oversee quality control measures and ensure full compliance with health and safety standards and site procedures.
