Job summary

Global Professional Consultants seeks a Senior Site Engineer to oversee a data centre project in Wicklow. The role covers setting-out, subcontractor management, and ensuring safety, quality and programme adherence on site.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering degree with 5+ years' experience in large building projects, strong communication skills, and a full driving licence. This is an on-site role with a competitive package.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering degree required.
• 5+ years of relevant civil engineering experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Self-motivated to deliver on safety, quality and programme.
• Ability to work as part of a team and hold a full driving licence.

• Set-out and level works on site.
• Read and interpret drawings for layouts and materials.
• Manage subcontractors/groundworkers.
• Plan works to meet the project programme.
• Liaise with client representatives/design team as appropriate.
• Ensure health and safety standards on site.

• Order and control materials on site.

Senior Site Engineer

Senior Site Engineer with 6+ years’ experience required for a Tier 1 Main Contractor to work on a datacentre project in Wicklow. Our client is ideally looking for an Engineer with experience on the civils elements of large building projects.

Responsibilities

• Setting-out
• Reading & interpreting drawings for layouts, materials measure etc.
• Management of subcontractors/groundworkers
• Planning works in an efficient manner to ensure programme targets are achieved
• Liaise with client’s representatives/Design Team members as appropriate
• Ensure that all works are carried out to the highest Health and Safety standards.
• Ensure work is carried out to the highest of quality standards.
• Ordering and control of materials on site.

Requirements

• Civil Engineering Degree
• 5+ years’ experience
• Strong interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills
• Self-motivating to deliver on safety, quality & programme
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Full driving license
