Job summary

Walls Construction is seeking a Senior Site Engineer to support the Construction Management Team in Athlone, Ireland. You will provide on-site control, technical oversight, and leadership of site engineering functions to deliver building elements of projects.

Key responsibilities include supervising setting-out engineers, verifying shuttering and reinforcement, reviewing drawings for accuracy, coordinating with subcontractors and clients, and upholding quality control and health and safety

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a Site Engineer role with a Main Contractor.
• Experience using setting-out equipment such as total stations, GPS, and laser levels.
• Strong knowledge of temporary works coordination.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise setting out engineers to ensure works are delivered accurately and efficiently.
• Inspect shuttering, reinforcement, and dimensional compliance prior to concrete pours, and maintain accurate materials reconciliation records.
• Review plans and drawings to verify accuracy of calculations and ensure compliance with design and specifications.
• Liaise with subcontractors, clients, consultants, and other project stakeholders to coordinate site activities.
• Oversee quality control measures and ensure full compliance with health and safety standards and site procedures.
