Job summary

J.P. Morgan in Ireland is seeking a Software Engineer III - ServiceNow within the Infrastructure Platforms Digital Workflows team.

You will design and deliver scalable, secure platform solutions that enable business outcomes across the enterprise. As a seasoned member of an agile team, you will mentor juniors, develop production code, and contribute to automation, monitoring, and integration efforts (REST).

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
• Experience in system design, development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience coding in a large corporate environment with modern languages and databases.
• Experience using AI-assisted software development tools with critical evaluation.
• Understanding of responsible AI use and secure handling of data.
• Knowledge of SDLC and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with ServiceNow platform including widgets, scripting, and integrations (REST).
• Experience implementing inbound/outbound API integrations (REST).

Responsibilities

• Execute software solutions, design, development, and troubleshoot complex problems.
• Create secure production code and maintain algorithms.
• Leverage AI coding assist tools to improve quality and speed, with peer review.
• Improve automation and tooling across the SDLC to increase value.
• Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications.
• Develop data visualizations and reporting to drive improvements.
• Identify hidden data patterns to drive coding hygiene and architecture improvements.
• Follow and enhance scrum practices for process improvement.
• Collaborate with Business Analysis to produce estimates and plans.
• Mentor junior developers on technical and soft skills.
