Job summary

Cisco Systems is seeking a security-focused engineer to ensure industry-leading security practices across the software development lifecycle for Isovalent software. You will build and deploy tools to detect vulnerabilities, triage findings, and drive improvements with a metrics-driven approach.

You will collaborate with development, release, and other security teams to address vulnerabilities promptly, document security posture, and advocate for security best practices across teams.

Qualifications

• Technical background in information security or related field with significant knowledge of Linux security concepts.
• Experience automating security processes using Go, Python, Bash, or IaC tools such as Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Build and/or deploy tools to detect vulnerabilities in Isovalent software and tune them for valuable signals.
• Triage findings from SAST/DAST scanners, cloud security scanners, external reports, and pentests.
• Partner with development, release, and security teams to ensure timely addressing of vulnerabilities and documenting security posture.
