Job summary

Abbott in Ireland is seeking a Senior Scientist for Technical Support at the Finisklin site. The role focuses on ensuring quality, service, regulatory, financial and safety goals through technical support of DRO and BRO products, with independent management of long-duration projects and product improvements.

Responsibilities include design control, risk management and complex investigations, plus providing technical support and knowledge sharing across sites and with regulators.

Qualifications

• Third level qualification in a relevant discipline.
• 4–6 years’ related work experience; advanced degree preferred.
• Experience mentoring and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage complex long-duration projects, product improvements, and investigations.
• Provide technical leadership to cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Support in design controls, risk management, and CAPA activities.
• Resolve complex technical and quality issues across Abbott sites and functions.
• Present complex technical information to internal and external groups and regulators.
