Job summary

E-Frontiers is seeking a Senior SAP Payroll Functional Analyst to join our hybrid team in Ireland. You will own the SAP Payroll and Time & Attendance landscape, ensuring compliant and up-to-date systems while coordinating with HR, IT, and external partners.

The role emphasizes governance, system enhancements, and training to empower power users and maintain payroll integrity across Ireland and the UK.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in SAP Payroll and Time & Attendance.
  • Strong understanding of SAP ERP systems and related processes.
  • Experience in system integration, automation and change management.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with data interpretation.
  • Effective communication with stakeholders across levels.

Responsibilities

  • Provide end-to-end ownership of the SAP Payroll system, including admin, maintenance, upgrades, incidents, and compliance.
  • Ensure payroll systems stay current with legal changes and release notes.
  • Deliver application support for payroll and time and attendance with internal and external partners.
  • Advise on business-technology implications and drive solution design from requirements.
  • Perform functional testing and coordinate release management activities.
  • Develop user guides and training materials for product adoption and maintenance.

Senior SAP Payroll Functional Analyst
Permanent
Hybrid - Dublin or Kilkenny
Salary: 80-95k per annum

Must hold an EU or UK passport or Stamp 4 visa/Stamp 1G Spousal. Must be resident in Ireland.


Responsibilities

  • Supports the Product Owner to identify areas where additional security and compliance considerations should be factored in (e.g., sensitive data handling) including compliance with GDPR. Works with internal SMEs and Product teams to ensure these considerations have been addressed correctly.
  • Provide end-to-end System ownership of the company SAP Payroll application, including system administration, maintenance, release and upgrade management, incident resolution, compliance support, and the implementation of approved enhancements and projects.
  • Ensuing payroll system is kept up to date with relevant country legal changes (CLC), release notes, and compliance notes.
  • Provide Application Support on all payroll and time and attendance issues with internal and external partners
  • Supports technical delivery activities by advising Developers & Testers, etc. on expected system behaviour
  • Supports the Product Owner to realise the Product strategy by eliciting and managing detailed Business requirements (e.g., features, user stories) and designing technology-enabled Business use cases.
  • Advises the Business on the implications of business process decisions on technology, cost, and complexity to enable informed decision-making.
  • Performs functional testing on delivered solutions and on application or other technical upgrade projects/initiative, ensuring the systems fulfil business requirements.
  • Coordinate configuration release management activities, adhering to configuration release management policy
  • Develops Product user guides and training materials, delivering training to power / key users / support teams to enable Product adoption and maintenance.
  • Supports the Product Owner to identify and implement automation opportunities, including automating tasks and processes within Product Teams, to enhance overall effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation related to system architecture, configurations, integrations, processes, and custom developments.


Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in SAP Payroll and Time & attendance, ideally within a supply manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of SAP ERP systems, purchasing workflows, and relevant IT development methodologies.
  • Experience in system integration, process automation, and change management.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
  • Effective communication skills, capable of working with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in managing IT projects, particularly in procurement or supply chain domains.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in coordinating and facilitating the work an advantage.
