Job summary

Occupli is seeking an experienced Safety Advisor to join a major client in the Utilities sector, based in the Irish Midlands with travel nationwide. This is an initial 12-month contract with potential extension.

The role will ramp from approximately three days per week to full-time as project requirements increase. You will audit contractors, document findings, lead investigations, and provide expert health and safety guidance across projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Health & Safety (Level 8 minimum).
• Minimum of 5 years' experience as Safety Advisor in construction.
• Strong knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation and industry practice.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and report writing.
• Full, clean driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide.
• Experience acting in or supporting PSCS/PSDP functions and traffic management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety and quality audits of contractors and report findings.
• Document audit findings, observations and corrective actions clearly.
• Implement and maintain effective health and safety processes across projects.
• Lead or contribute to investigations of contractor incidents and root causes.
• Provide expert health and safety guidance to project teams and stakeholders.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external parties.
• Support teams in resolving complex safety issues and recommend practical solutions.
• Monitor compliance with legislation, standards and company policies.
• Deliver high standard of customer service and professional support.
