Job summary

Building Staff Solutions Ltd. is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join a civil engineering contractor on-site in Wexford. You will drive safety culture, ensure compliance, and support HSEQ systems across multiple projects.

The role requires a Level 8 OH&S degree and a strong background in safety training, toolbox talks, and incident investigation. A full driving licence, Safe Pass, and Manual Handling certification are essential. Excellent career opportunities offered.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent.
• 5+ years of Health & Safety experience in construction/civil engineering preferred.
• Strong report writing and communication abilities.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience delivering toolbox talks and safety training.
• Ability to engage with all levels of the organisation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out site inspections, audits and safety assessments.
• Prepare risk assessments and implement controls.
• Investigate incidents and near misses with reports and recommendations.
• Deliver health and safety inductions, toolbox talks and training.
• Maintain accurate H&S records and documentation.
• Monitor compliance with procedures and legislation.
• Liaise with site management to resolve safety issues promptly.
• Promote a positive health and safety culture across the organisation.
• Assist with HSEQ systems development and continuous improvement.
• Provide practical safety guidance to site teams and management.
