Job summary

• Degree or professional qualification in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 2 years working in Financial Services.
• Comfortable navigating large data sets and deriving insights.
• Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBi and Word.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong organisational skills, ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
• Inquisitive, self-starter who can work autonomously or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage the First Line of Defence risk register with new events, breaches, and complaints.
• Perform QA checks on risk data submissions for completeness and accuracy.

• Conduct local reviews of risk events and root-cause analysis with queries/resolution.
• Prepare monthly risk reports and department MI for Management.
• Support regulatory, internal audit and compliance requests with data extracts.
• Provide day-to-day risk guidance and act as point of contact for risk processes.
• Maintain 1LOD risk documentation.

Job description

• Maintain and manage the First Line of Defence risk register including logging new risk events, breaches, complaints and updating as applicable
• Perform quality assurance checks on risk data submissions from business units to ensure completeness and accuracy before reporting
• Oversee the database management for the First Line of Defence Risk team, compiling and analysing data, and generating reports
• Conduct local review of risk events, perform root-cause analysis of events, and follow up with the business with queries and resolution
• Prepare monthly risk reports and department MI for Management team
• Support regulatory, internal audit, and compliance requests, including preparing data extracts, gathering evidence, and coordinating responses with business teams
• Provide day-to-day support to business units on risk queries, acting as a point of contact for guidance on risk processes and standards
• Maintain 1LOD risk documentation

Requirements

• Strong educational background (third level relevant degree and/or professional qualification)
• Minimum of 2 years working in Financial Services industry
• Comfortable navigating large data sets, compiling data analyses, displaying data effectively and communicating results with impact
• Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBi and Word
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent organisational skills with an ability to manage, prioritise, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines
