CareerWise Recruitment in Cork is seeking a RF Power Electronics Engineer to join a medical device client. You will work within a multi-disciplinary R&D team on new product and process development in a permanent role.

The role requires advanced electrical design expertise across complex subsystems for medical devices, with experience in high-frequency power electronics and high-voltage DC/DC converters. You will lead design, testing, and documentation efforts to meet regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of relevant experience in electrical design for medical devices.
• Experience with high-frequency power electronics, resonant/quasi-resonant topologies and high-voltage DC/DC converters.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop and evaluate electrical components and subsystems for electrosurgery medical devices.
• Lead high-energy electrical subsystem design for patient-connected devices.
• Translate user and system needs into electrical requirements and designs.
• Apply rapid prototyping and advanced testing to accelerate development while ensuring cost and quality goals.
• Provide technical guidance on product commercialization and design trade-offs.
