Job summary

Ampere Recruitment Ltd, on behalf of a leading power technology innovator in Ireland, is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a team of power electronics engineers. You will shape architecture, culture and the talent pipeline, combining hands‑on credibility with strong people management.

You will drive delivery from concept to commercially successful products, identify emerging technologies, manage budgets, and build high‑performing teams.

Qualifications

• Honours degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years' experience in an electronics development environment.
• Minimum 5 years' experience leading/managing engineering projects and teams.
• Proven leadership experience developing individuals and teams.
• Proven experience developing and executing to project budgets.
• Proven track record of innovation in technology and IP.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team in developing next‑generation power technologies for medical devices and therapies.
• Drive identification, evaluation, and maturation of emerging technologies into commercial products.
• Foster a culture of technical curiosity and continuous innovation.
• Act as a visible technical leader influencing architecture, platform strategies and investments.
• Identify and cultivate future technical and people leaders; strengthen engineering capability and succession.
