Job summary

Capri-Medical in Dublin, Ireland, is seeking an experienced RF Electronics Engineer to design and develop implantable electronics and controller devices. The role demands hands-on circuit design and verification across RF power transmission and communication circuits.

Applicants should have 8+ years in RF electronics, a degree in Electronic Engineering (Bachelor/Master/PhD), expertise with Altium, SPICE, EMI/EMC mitigation, and embedded software/SDR experience.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in RF electronics.
• Expert in RF design, analogue circuits, SPICE simulation.
• Experience with wireless power transmission and wireless communications.
• PCB layout for high-speed/RF with Altium.
• Knowledge of EMI/EMC testing and mitigation.
• Embedded software and software defined radio experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and Develop RF Power Transmission Circuits.
• Design and Develop RF Communications Circuits.
• Failure analysis; design of test protocols; device testing & test reports; product validation.
• Perform frequency analysis and simulation for boundary case or worst-case conditions.

About the Role:

The role will involve design and development of implantable electronics and controller devices.

Responsibilities:

• Design and Develop RF Power Transmission Circuits
• Design and Develop RF Communications Circuits
• Failure analysis; design of test protocols; device testing & test reports; product validation
• Perform frequency analysis and simulation for boundary case or worst-case conditions
• Development of electronic product PCBA for medical device industry
• Documentation of specifications, requirements, etc.
• Bachelor / Masters / PHD in Electronic Engineering
• Experience as in RF Electronic Circuit Design, analogue circuit design and SPICE simulation
• Knowledge of active filters, mixers, LNAs, and VCOs, signal integrity, impedance matching and termination
• Experience in embedded electronic design
• Experience in Wireless Power Transmission
• Experience in Wireless Communications using Agile Transceivers
• Experience developing noise models and link budgets
• Experience with wireless communication protocols
• PCB layout experience with high-speed/RF PCB layout and simulation (Altium)
• Experience with typical electronic laboratory test equipment: spectrum analyzer, network analyzers, oscilloscope, etc…
• Experience developing electrical power models and budgets, thermal modeling
• Experience in circuit optimization and calibration methods
• Experience with EMI/EMC testing and mitigation techniques
• Experience in embedded software and software defined radio
• Hands-on experience translating embedded device to finished product
