Job summary

Oxford Global Resources in Dublin, Ireland, is seeking an electronic design engineer with strong RF experience to support implantable electronics and controller devices. The role involves designing RF power transmission and RF communications circuits, performing frequency analyses and simulations, and developing PCBA for medical devices.

Ideal candidates hold a degree in Electronic Engineering and have hands-on experience with embedded design, wireless Power Transmission, and EMI/EMC mitigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master/PhD in Electronic Engineering or related field.
• Experience in RF electronic circuit design and analogue circuit design with SPICE simulations.
• Knowledge of active filters, mixers, LNAs, and VCOs, signal integrity and impedance matching.
• Experience in embedded electronic design and wireless power transmission.
• Experience in wireless communications using agile transceivers and link budgets.
• PCB layout experience for high-speed/RF designs (Altium) and use of RF test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop RF power transmission circuits and RF communications circuits.
• Perform failure analysis, test protocol design, device testing and validation.
• Conduct frequency analysis and simulations for boundary or worst-case conditions.
• Develop electronic PCBA for medical devices and document specifications.
• Translate embedded devices to finished products and support EMI/EMC mitigation.

Required Experience

• Bachelor / Masters / PHD in Electronic Engineering
• Experience as in RF Electronic Circuit Design, analogue circuit design and SPICE simulation
• Knowledge of active filters, mixers, LNAs, and VCOs, signal integrity, impedance matching and termination
• Experience in embedded electronic design
• Experience in Wireless Power Transmission
• Experience in Wireless Communications using Agile Transceivers
• Experience developing noise models and link budgets
• Experience with wireless communication protocols
• PCB layout experience with high-speed/RF PCB layout and simulation (Altium)
• Experience with typical electronic laboratory test equipment: spectrum analyzer, network analyzers, oscilloscope, etc…
• Experience developing electrical power models and budgets, thermal modeling
• Experience in circuit optimization and calibration methods
• Experience with EMI/EMC testing and mitigation techniques
• Experience in embedded software and software defined radio
• Hands-on experience translating embedded device to finished product
