Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Project Resident Engineer and Employer’s Representative.
  • Liaison with the Site Supervision Teams on each Contract.
  • Dealing with contractual matters on-site related to MEICA Works.
  • Assessment of Contractor claims and writing reports on same.
  • Assessment of Contractor payment applications against work completed.
  • Assessment of Contractor performance against Contractual KPIs.
  • Review Contractor MEICA design submissions and prepare comments.
  • Supervise works, keep records, manage correspondence and documentation.
  • Monitor the commissioning of the works and process proving.

Skills

Strong knowledge of the water industry

About the Role

Senior Resident Engineer – MEICA

We are seeking experienced professionals with at least 7 years of experience in a similar role to contribute to Water and Wastewater infrastructure projects. The role provides an opportunity to play a vital part within the site supervision team in an Irish‑owned company that values efficient procedures and adaptability.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Reporting to the Project Resident Engineer and Employer’s Representative.
  • Liaison with the Site Supervision Teams on each Contract.
  • Dealing with contractual matters on‑site related to MEICA Works.
  • Assessment of Contractor claims and writing reports on same.
  • Assessment of Contractor payment applications against work completed.
  • Assessment of Contractor performance against Contractual KPIs.
  • Assessment of Contractor submissions including method statements and preparation of clear comments.
  • Review Contractor MEICA design submissions including equipment details against client requirements and preparation of clear comments.
  • Supervise works, keep records, measure, manage correspondence and contractual documentation.
  • Monitor the commissioning of the works and process proving.
  • Other duties as may be assigned.
Key Requirements
  • Primary degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or other relevant disciplines.
  • 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in major engineering projects.
  • Strong knowledge of the water industry is preferred.
  • Familiarity with industry‑standard forms of contract.
  • Experience in the design, installation and commissioning of MEICA infrastructure.
