Job summary

Tetra Tech Europe is seeking a Senior Resident Engineer (Civil) to be site-based and embedded within the delivery team on complex water utility projects across Ireland.

You will lead site supervision, monitor progress, and ensure safety, quality and contract compliance while coordinating with contractors and client teams. A Level 8 Civil Engineering degree and 10+ years of post‑graduate experience are preferred, with appropriate certifications desirable.

Qualifications

• A Level 8 degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• At least ten years’ relevant post‑graduate experience, including site supervision.
• Clean driving licence is required.
• Current Safepass, Managing Safely in Construction and Manual Handling certification or progress towards it is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Site-based delivery and monitoring of works to programme, quality and safety requirements.
• Produce site reports, minutes and progress updates for contractual accountability.
• Liaise with contractors, client teams and stakeholders to resolve issues and keep delivery on track.
• Apply knowledge of Public Works and FIDIC contracts on live site with a practical problem‑solving approach.
