Job summary

MACOM, a global leader in RF and semiconductor technology, is seeking an Electronic Design Engineer, Principal to design and support broadband optical/electrical interfaces. You will plan and execute reliability tests on GaN/GaAs and other technologies at MACOM.

You will perform qualification, device characterization, data analysis, and failure investigations, working with interns and maintaining lab equipment in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electronics-related field with 4–6 years reliability testing experience.
• Alternative: Master's with 3–4 years in reliability, or PhD with relevant experience.
• Experience with JEDEC JESD47 and other reliability qualification standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out qualification of new semiconductor processes and products across a range of technologies.
• Conduct hands-on device characterisation, analyse and communicate results.
• Develop qualification plans including risk analysis.
• Conduct accelerated reliability tests using temperature, voltage, current and other stresses.
• Perform data analysis to identify potential degradation in product performance.
• Car ry out failure analysis investigations, determine conclusions and propose solutions.
• Operate lab equipment and maintain test setups; administer training for interns.
• Supervise intern practical work and other duties as assigned.
