Job summary

MACOM in Cork, Ireland, is seeking an Electronic Design Engineer, Principal, to plan, execute and analyze reliability tests for semiconductor technologies (GaN, GaAs) and to qualify new processes in accordance with JEDEC JESD47 and related standards.

You will conduct device characterisation, develop qualification plans, perform accelerated reliability tests, analyze data, and contribute to intern training. Bachelor/Master/PhD level with 4–6 years in reliability preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electronics-related field with 4–6 years’ reliability testing experience.
• Masters degree with 3–4 years' reliability experience (semiconductor quality engineering considered).
• PhD with semiconductor technology experience; new PhD graduates welcome.

Responsibilities

• Carry out qualification of new semiconductor processes and products per JEDEC JESD47 and related standards.
• Conduct hands-on device characterisation, analyse results and communicate conclusions.
• Develop qualification plans including risk analysis and perform accelerated reliability tests.
• Perform data analysis to identify degradation; contribute to training and intern projects.
• Setup and maintain laboratory equipment; support in related duties.
