Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. in Ennis, Ireland, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join the site engineering team responsible for high-reliability discrete semiconductor products.

You will own product and process definition, ensure compliance with military, aerospace, and internal specs, and drive robust test flows and cost of ownership improvements. The role focuses on electrical engineering support for back-end test and screening, offers in-house training, and opportunities to lead automation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (Level 8) in Engineering or Physics.
• Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, DOE, DMAIC, FMEA, SPC experience is a plus.
• Experience with semiconductor device physics or ATE/electrical test environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support projects on high-reliability screening operations, including HTRB, burn-in, and electrical test/screening methodologies.
• Drive data analysis, SPC, and RCCA to resolve yield, quality, and equipment issues.
• Originate and develop technical solutions and automation initiatives to strengthen high-reliability manufacturing.
• Create and maintain process and product documentation, including test flows and specifications.
