Job summary

Egis Group in Ireland seeks an experienced Railway Systems Engineer to lead integration of signalling, electrification and telecommunication schemes for major capital projects.

You will coordinate design teams, manage system architecture, requirements, and interfaces, and support quality assurance and safety certification. The role demands Chartered Engineer status or progress toward chartership and strong collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in railway systems engineering and integration.
• Experience with large capital infrastructure projects.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Lead coordination with design teams and third parties to ensure safe, coherent system delivery.
• Review signalling, electrical, or telecommunication designs and deliverables.
• Manage system architecture, requirements, and interface strategies across the project life cycle.
• Identify and resolve interface or integration conflicts with technical proposals.
• Support quality assurance, system assurance submissions, and safety certification.
• Attend coordination meetings and communicate risks and issues.
• Assess risks and implement mitigation plans.
