Job summary

RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in healthcare recruitment and is hiring a Senior Radiographer (Specific Purpose) for a Hospital in Galway, Ireland. The role focuses on high-quality radiographic examinations, patient safety, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.

The position requires CORU registration, a minimum of 3 years post-graduate experience, and a postgraduate radiography qualification is desirable.

Qualifications

• BSc (Hons) in Radiography, Diploma of the College of Radiographers, or an equivalent recognised qualification.
• Current CORU registration and commitment to maintaining registration.
• Minimum of 3 years’ post-graduate clinical experience.
• Postgraduate qualification in a relevant radiography modality is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality radiographic examinations in accordance with departmental protocols and clinical indications.
• Ensure accurate patient identification, care, comfort, and safety during all radiographic procedures.
• Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to a supportive and efficient working environment.
• Maintain and operate imaging equipment safely, performing routine checks and reporting technical issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with radiation safety regulations and hospital policies at all times.
• Participate in quality assurance programmes to maintain high standards of imaging and service delivery.
• Keep up to date with developments in radiographic technology and techniques.
• Support training, supervision, and mentoring of students or junior staff as required.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and initiative in addressing technical or clinical challenges.
