Job summary

A global medical device company is seeking a Senior R&D Engineer to join the research & development team on a contract basis in Limerick. You will help with product testing, DOE/ TMV, test protocols, and work on syringe/PFS products.

Expect 3 days onsite per week with some remote work. The role requires a mechanical/biomedical background with at least 5 years in medical device R&D, experience with syringes/PFS, and familiarity with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Biomedical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years experience in R&D for medical device products.
• Experience with syringe/PFS products is preferred.
• Understanding regulatory requirements and fast-paced environments.

For this role you will need experience having worked with syringe / pre-filled syringes / PFS type products.

Requirements

• Mechanical engineering, Material Science, Biomedical Engineering or equivalent degree
• Experience working as a R&D Engineer on medical device products
• Minimum 5 years experience
• Experience working with syringe products / PFS / Pre filled syringes, ISO 80369 / 11040
• Understanding regulatory requirements
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment

The start date is for ASAP/October. The initial contract length is for 12 months, with multiple extension options after. The role is based in Limerick and will require 3 days onsite per week, the rest of the work can be done remotely. The rate is between €40 - €55 per hour depending on experience.
