Job summary

Elite Talent Hub in Ireland seeks a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a major transportation and infrastructure contractor near Swords, Co. Dublin. Hybrid role combining home, site visits and office time in Dublin or Newbridge. You will lead commercial activities from forecasting to final accounts, working with the site team, client and supply chain.

The role offers broad responsibility, ongoing career development and exposure to high-profile projects within the public works sector.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics required.
• Experience with Public Works Contracts and the TII Method of Measurement required.
• Forecasting, procurement, valuations, contract administration, claims and final accounts experience required.
• Strong commercial judgement, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Understanding of project controls, programming and risk analysis advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare initial forecasts, budgets and procurement schedules.
• Prepare invitations to tender and terms of engagement for subcontractors.
• Maintain monthly costs, cost-to-complete forecasts and risk registers.
• Produce Cost Value Reconciliations and monitor financial performance.
• Manage cash flow, WIP and opportunities to improve cash position.
• Identify commercial risks and value engineering opportunities.
• Measure works per standard methods of measurement.
• Prepare client valuations and payment applications.
• Administer contracts and negotiate changes and final accounts.
• Manage subcontractor and supplier accounts, payments and variations.
• Maintain accurate commercial records and relationships with stakeholders.
• Support tender submissions and PQQ responses as required.
• Identify insurance-related matters including PI requirements.
• Mentor junior commercial team members and promote HSE standards.
