Job summary

Vickerstock, a Dublin-based construction contractor, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to take full commercial responsibility on projects across Dublin, including a €100m healthcare project in Sandyford and a pipeline of healthcare, residential and commercial developments.

The role offers hybrid working with a 3-on/2-off or 4-on/1-off pattern, a salary of €90,000-€110,000, a company car and project-based bonuses, plus strong career progression and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• 8+ years' experience in Quantity Surveying with a tier 1 or tier 2 main contractor.
• A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or an equivalent discipline.
• Experience managing the commercial aspects of large-scale construction projects.
• Proficiency in CostX or Cubit, alongside Microsoft Excel.
• The ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities and communicate effectively with project teams and stakeholders.
• Experience supporting or mentoring junior staff would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Taking commercial responsibility for projects, overseeing financial performance from procurement through to final account.
• Managing project budgets, cost reporting, forecasts and commercial risk.
• Preparing and reviewing valuations, variations, claims and subcontractor accounts.
• Monitoring project costs and identifying opportunities to protect and improve profitability.
• Managing commercial relationships with clients, subcontractors and other project stakeholders.
• Working closely with project management teams to support successful project delivery.
• Providing accurate commercial reports and updates to senior management.
• Supporting and mentoring junior Quantity Surveyors where required.
