Job summary

Eurofins Biomnis Ireland is seeking a Senior Quality Officer to join the Quality Department on site in Sandyford, Dublin 18. You will maintain the QMS, ensure ISO 15189 and ISO 9001 compliance, and lead CAPA, audits, and quality documentation.

The role offers training, development, and a comprehensive benefits package; 35 hour week; on-site role. A 3rd level QA/science degree and 4 years QA in clinical labs are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years Quality Assurance experience in a clinical diagnostic laboratory or similar.
• A strong, contemporary knowledge of ISO15189 accreditation and ISO9001 certification.
• Demonstrated 2 years’ experience in CAPA management and internal audits.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain the laboratory's Quality Management System (QMS) ensuring ISO 15189 and ISO 9001 compliance.
• Assist with development, review, implementation, and control of quality documentation and records.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and follow up on audit findings.
• Lead CAPA management, non-conformances, complaints, incidents, and corrective actions.
• Provide quality oversight across processes and drive continuous improvement.
• Deliver training on quality systems and QPulse/LIMS usage.
• Monitor key quality metrics and KPIs for business performance.
• Collaborate with lab, logistics, and other functions to promote quality culture.

Job Description

• Support and maintain the laboratory's Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with ISO 15189, ISO 9001, regulatory requirements, and Eurofins Group standards.
• Assist with the development, review, implementation, and control of quality documentation, policies, procedures, and records.
• Coordinate and participate in internal and external audits, including preparation of documentation and follow-up of audit findings.
• Support quality improvement initiatives through the management of CAPAs, non-conformances, complaints, incidents, and corrective actions.
• Provide quality oversight for existing and new processes, ensuring effective implementation and continuous improvement across the business.
• Deliver training and support to employees on quality systems, procedures, and electronic quality management platforms (QPulse).
• Assist in the maintenance and development of Quality Management software systems, including QPulse and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
• Monitor, analyse, and report on key quality metrics and departmental KPIs to support business performance and compliance objectives.
• Review quality-related records, validations, verifications, and documentation to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
• Collaborate with laboratory, logistics, and other business functions to promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
• Support client quality requests, regulatory requirements, and additional quality projects as assigned by the QA Manager.

Working Hours: 35 hours p/w

Please note this is NOT a HYBRID role, this role will be based on site in Sandyford, Dublin 18

Qualifications

Education

• A 3rd level qualification in Quality Assurance and/or a science discipline relevant to medical testing laboratories.

Experience

• This role requires a seasoned professional with a minimum of 4 years Quality Assurance experience in a clinical diagnostic laboratory or similar role. A combination of medical laboratory working experience, quality assurance experience, and educational background that may otherwise satisfy the requirements of the role will be considered.
• A self-starter and result-focused, the successful candidate will have a strong, contemporary knowledge of ISO15189 accreditation and ISO9001 certification.
• Demonstrated 2 years’ experience in CAPA management, internal audits, verification of examination methods requirements, and risk management.
• Have a keen awareness of INAB requirements for medical testing laboratories accredited to ISO 15189:2022.
• Proven track record in delivering excellence.
• Knowledge of Q-Pulse would be an advantage.
