Job summary

Abbott Vascular – Clonmel site in Ireland seeks a Process/Quality Engineer to support manufacturing with a focus on quality improvement and defect reduction. You will develop quality plans, participate in risk analyses and contribute to new product development.

Candidates should hold an NFQ level 7 qualification and have 4+ years of related experience in a quality system environment. Collaboration across teams and drive for results are essential.

Qualifications

• NFQ level 7 qualification (or equivalent) with 4+ years related experience.
• Strong understanding of quality systems, regulatory expectations and cGMP.
• Ability to apply root cause analysis and risk assessment in manufacturing.
• Experience with FMEA and quality tooling to drive improvements.
• Proven cross-functional collaboration across engineering, quality, and production.

Responsibilities

• Identify and control manufacturing process defects and routinize CAPAs.
• Develop quality plans, specifications and documentation with development teams.
• Create monitoring systems to reduce process variation and defects.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to improve product quality.
• Assist in creation and deployment of quality tools and training materials.
