Job summary

Abbott in Ireland is seeking an Operations Quality professional to support the Vascular division in Clonmel. The role emphasizes manufacturing quality, defect reduction, and compliance within a multinational healthcare environment.

Responsibilities include implementing corrective actions, developing quality plans, and participating in validation and CAPA activities. A suitable candidate will have a Level 7 qualification and 4+ years of related experience, with strong analytical and leadership

Qualifications

• National Framework of Qualifications level 7 qualification in a relevant discipline and 4+ years of related work experience.
• Wide application of technical principles, practices and procedures. Strong understanding of business unit function and cross group dependencies/relationships.
• Cognitive skills: works on problems of diverse scope and analyzes data to identify factors and solutions.
• Influence/leadership: develops networks to facilitate assignments and may lead a project team.
• Planning/organization: plans and organises non-routine tasks with approval and sets priorities.
• Decision making: uses judgement to achieve practical resolutions and avoid delays.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and controls manufacturing process defects by identifying root causes and implementing corrective/preventive actions.
• Develops product quality plans, documents and quality specifications with input from other teams.
• Develops process monitoring systems to reduce variation and defects.
• Leads process improvement to capture quality metric data and enhance design for manufacturing and new products.
• Assists in creation of quality tools and training materials and participates in validation activities.
• Participates in corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activity and Field Discrepancy Notification (FDN) investigations.
