Job summary

Blue Fox in Dublin is seeking an experienced Electrical QA/QC Engineer to lead quality assurance on a major construction project on the main contractor side. You will oversee QA/QC activities, implement the Quality Management Plan, review inspection and test plans, and coordinate with engineers, subcontractors and the client to ensure electrical works meet drawings, specs and standards.

Job description

We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical QA/QC Engineer to join a leading Main Contractor on a major project in Dublin.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrical quality professional to join a high-performing project team and take responsibility for ensuring all electrical works are delivered to the required quality, specification and client standards.

The Role

Working on the Main Contractor / GC side, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all electrical QA/QC activities throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing electrical QA/QC activities across the project.
• Implementing and maintaining the project Quality Management Plan.
• Developing and managing electrical Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
• Carrying out inspections of electrical installations and works.
• Ensuring installations comply with approved drawings, specifications, standards and project requirements.
• Reviewing electrical installation, testing and commissioning documentation.
• Managing RFIs, NCRs, quality observations and corrective actions.
• Reviewing subcontractor quality documentation and ensuring compliance.
• Coordinating with Electrical Engineers, Construction Managers, subcontractors and the client.
• Monitoring installation quality, materials and workmanship.
• Maintaining accurate quality records and supporting the final handover and close-out process.
• Supporting internal, client and third-party quality audits.

About You

We are looking for an Electrical QA/QC Engineer with:

• Proven experience in an Electrical QA/QC role within construction.
• Previous experience working for a Main Contractor / General Contractor.
• Strong knowledge of electrical installation, inspection, testing and commissioning.
• Experience with ITPs, NCRs, RFIs, quality inspections and handover documentation.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Strong understanding of electrical standards and project quality requirements.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Relevant electrical engineering, construction or quality qualification.
• Experience on large-scale data centre, pharmaceutical, commercial, industrial or mission-critical projects would be highly advantageous.
