Job summary

OpenText is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join a cross-functional Agile delivery team in Ireland. You will drive automated testing, ensure quality and performance of business-critical applications, and contribute to robust, secure, scalable solutions for institutional customers.

You will collaborate with Software Engineers and Analysts to implement test strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and maintain automated suites. Strong Java, SQL, and REST API skills are required.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of professional experience in software testing and quality engineering.
• Hands-on automation testing with Selenium, Cucumber, Karate, TestNG, SoapUI or equivalent.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated build/deployment processes.
• Strong programming in Java; solid SQL and REST API skills.
• Familiarity with Spring/Spring Boot and modern JS frameworks is a plus.
• Proven ability to collaborate in Agile teams and communicate clearly with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, execute, and maintain automated test suites for functional and regression testing.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and engineers to refine requirements and testing strategies.
• Investigate defects, perform root cause analysis, and validate corrective actions.
• Communicate testing progress and quality metrics to teams to support release decisions.
• Contribute to evolving test automation framework and quality practices to improve delivery speed.
