Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Software Engineer III within the Employees Platform in Ireland. You will be part of an agile team designing trusted, scalable technologies and contributing across multiple technical areas to support business objectives.

Responsibilities include delivering secure production code, leveraging AI-assisted tools for code quality and speed, and producing architecture artifacts for complex applications. Strong knowledge of SDLC, CI/CD, and security is essential.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts.
• Hands-on experience in system design, development, testing, and stability.
• Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with modern languages and databases.
• Hands-on experience using enterprise AI-assisted software development tools with ability to evaluate outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity and secure handling.
• Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
• Proficiency building production services in Python (Flask/FastAPI) and/or Node.js (Express/NestJS), and building modern web UIs in React with TypeScript.
• Experience with REST API design, relational and/or document databases, and automated testing (pytest / Jest).
• Experience operating services on AWS using containers (Docker/Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins / GitHub Actions / Spinnaker).

• Executes software solutions with design, development, and troubleshooting in an agile team.
• Produces secure, high-quality production code and maintains algorithms.
• Uses enterprise AI-assisted coding tools and validates outputs through reviews, tests, and secure coding standards.
• Applies SDLC tools and CI/CD automation to improve development value.
• Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensures constraints are met.
• Develops visualizations and reports from large data sets to drive software improvements.
• Identify hidden data patterns to drive improvements to code hygiene and system architecture.
