Job summary

Optum is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead cross-functional initiatives within its Payment Integrity division in Ireland. The role focuses on end-to-end delivery, governance, and strategic execution, partnering with Operations, Technology, Product, Finance, Compliance, and Strategy to achieve measurable outcomes.

The ideal candidate will drive complex programs, manage dependencies, and provide executive-ready updates while leveraging AI and automation to improve efficiency and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Proven extensive experience in project or program management, leading complex cross-functional initiatives.
• Proven experience driving projects from strategy through implementation and delivery.
• Demonstrated proficiency in project planning, risk management, and executive reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex projects from initiation through implementation.
• Define project scope, milestones, success metrics, governance structures, and execution strategies.
• Develop and maintain integrated project plans that align teams around shared objectives and timelines.
• Manage cross-functional dependencies and ensure coordinated execution across multiple workstreams.
• Monitor progress, remove roadblocks, and drive accountability for delivery commitments.
• Build solid partnerships across business, technology, operations, and supporting functions.
• Facilitate alignment among stakeholders with competing priorities and perspectives.
• Drive decision-making by presenting options, trade-offs, risks, and recommendations.
• Resolve conflicts and navigate ambiguity to maintain project momentum.
• Prepare concise, executive-ready communications, status reports, and presentations.
• Translate complex project activities into clear business outcomes, risks, and decisions.
• Provide leadership with transparency into progress, dependencies, and trade-offs.
• Identify opportunities to improve project delivery processes, governance, and team effectiveness.
• Implement best practices that increase efficiency, predictability, and execution excellence.
• Contribute to the maturation of project management capabilities across the organization.
