Tetra Tech is looking for a Senior Project Engineer – Water Services to shape resilient water and wastewater infrastructure with a global consultancy.
A Senior Project Engineer is sought to join the Water and Wastewater team in Dublin, Cork or Galway. This is a technically focused role supporting the delivery of high-profile water and wastewater projects for public and private sector clients in Ireland and further afield. You will work across multiple concurrent projects, preparing designs, technical reports and contract documents, and contributing to the delivery of robust, efficient and high-quality engineering solutions. Working as part of an integrated team, you will collaborate with engineers, planners and environmental professionals, while also supporting the technical development of the wider team. Projects vary in scale and complexity, requiring strong coordination, sound judgement and the ability to deliver to programme, budget and quality expectations.
In the short term, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of active projects and provide reliable technical input to the Water and Wastewater team. In the medium term, you will broaden your influence across project teams, strengthen your contribution to hydraulic modelling and design development, and support junior colleagues through review and guidance. Essential: Level 8 degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related discipline. Chartered Engineer status and membership of a relevant professional body such as Engineers Ireland or the Institution of Civil Engineers.
Desirable: Postgraduate Level 9 Master’s qualification. Additional training or demonstrated competence in hydraulic modelling, water/wastewater design software, CAD, Civil 3D, QGIS or Arc.
This role is based in Dublin, Cork or Galway, with hybrid working available as standard. Office attendance and site visits will be required in line with project needs, and flexible working arrangements may be supported to help balance client delivery with collaboration and development. Specific working patterns will be agreed with the line manager.
