Job summary

STS Group, part of the Dussman Group, is looking for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to lead HV substation and grid connection projects across Ireland. This role sits in the Power & Renewables engineering team and offers exposure to installation, commissioning and energisation up to 400kV.

You will coordinate with internal teams, clients and contractors, manage multiple projects, drive technical delivery, and ensure safety, quality and budget targets are met.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering qualification required.
• 5+ years in electrical design and/or project management.
• MV/HV network knowledge for industrial settings.
• Experience with energy management and automation integration.
• Proven ability to deliver projects on time and budget.
• Experience managing multiple projects concurrently.
• Strong IT and reporting capabilities.
• Flexible, delivery-focused mindset.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering activities for HV substation and grid projects.
• Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, contractors and clients.
• Support procurement with technical scopes and vendor evaluation.
• Provide technical support during installation, testing and commissioning.
• Lead and support a team of engineers through project life cycle.
• Identify resourcing gaps for current and upcoming projects.
• Communicate risks throughout the project life cycle.
• Liaise with SHEQ Manager on project safety and quality.
