Job summary

Miratech is seeking a Senior Programmable Voice Engineer to design and build programmable voice capabilities, API-driven services, and a scalable voice platform for next-generation customer experiences. You will work across architecture, code, and client-facing discussions to deliver enterprise-grade communications solutions.

The role requires 8+ years of distributed systems experience, deep knowledge of FreeSWITCH or Kamailio, and strong Java/Spring Boot expertise.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with architecture and delivery ownership for distributed applications.
• Deep hands-on expertise with FreeSWITCH and/or Kamailio, including call control, dial plans, media services, ESL, modules, and platform customization.
• Experience building API-driven communication platforms, voice services, or CPaaS-style solutions with SIP/WebRTC.
• Expert-level experience with Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, persistence, security, testing, and performance engineering.
• Deep understanding of API-first design, event-driven architecture, messaging, distributed systems, and cloud-native engineering.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or comparable relational databases, data modeling, and transactional design.
• Hands-on experience with contact center or CX platforms and the operational concepts behind customer routing and engagement.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop programmable voice services, APIs, and call-control capabilities for enterprise-scale platforms.
• Build and extend voice infrastructure using FreeSWITCH, Kamailio, SIP, RTP, WebRTC, and related technologies.
• Develop backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot to expose voice capabilities to applications.
• Implement call routing, session management, media handling, carrier integrations, and voice traffic processing.
• Design highly available, scalable systems for real-time communications and troubleshoot signaling/media issues.
• Integrate voice services with CRM, routing, and engagement platforms.
• Define non-functional requirements for availability, performance, security, and observability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to govern delivery and resolve critical issues.
