Job summary

Qumulo is seeking a software engineer to own the consumption metering ingest and marketplace submission pipelines. You will run the system in production from day one, setting the reliability bar and collaborating with the Cork and Seattle teams to build the next features for customer-facing solutions.

You will focus on idempotency, retries, alerting, and self-recovery, while writing runbooks and replacing bespoke logic with a unified submission engine.

• Owned a production system that mattered and led incident resolution.

Responsibilities

• Take over the consumption metering ingest and marketplace submission pipelines on AWS Lambda, EventBridge, SQS, Azure Functions, plus m3ter platform and cloud APIs.
• Run the system in production from day one, including code review, CI/CD, deployment and on-call rotation.
• Build alerting, retries, idempotency and self-recovery to resolve missed submissions without paging.
• Write runbooks to empower on-call teams.
• Replace bespoke per-product submission logic with a single submission engine; fix design flaws.
• Act as the named risk steward for revenue correctness and surface mitigations.
• Partner with Product to turn metering data into live balances and burn-rate forecasts.
• Translate requirements across Finance, Sales Ops, CS and codebase; clarify where logic belongs.
• Lead the technical relationship with external billing SaaS partners.
