Personio is seeking a seasoned Product Security Engineer to embed security across product development. You will partner with engineering to conduct in-depth reviews, implement best practices, and build scalable tooling that protects our platforms from the ground up.

In this role, you will own vulnerability lifecycle, drive security initiatives, and coordinate bug bounty activities with external researchers.

Competenze

• 5+ years of hands-on product security experience.
• Experience with vulnerability management programmes and prioritising findings by real-world risk.
• Ability to define and report vulnerability management metrics.
• Expertise in secure-by-default design, least privilege, robust authn/authz, and secure secrets handling.
• Understanding of security vulnerabilities and threat modeling; assess exploit paths.
• Ability to guide engineers across languages and frameworks for remediation.
• Fluent English communication (written and verbal).
• Proactive, action-biased approach to security improvements.
• Ability to handle ambiguity and competing priorities.

Mansioni

• Own end-to-end vulnerability lifecycle from discovery to remediation tracking.
• Maintain and evolve the product security toolchain (traditional and AI workflows).
• Respond to security incidents and provide security expertise for internal customers.
• Coordinate with external security vendors and researchers (Bug Bounty) for targeted tests.
• Provide design and code reviews to embed security in development early.
• Maintain security policies, guidance, and metrics for stakeholders.
