Job summary

CPL Technology in Dublin is seeking a Senior Product Designer to own and advance our Design System and Figma component library. You will work with product managers, engineers, and users to ensure consistency across our product ecosystem and to ship polished assets.

You will translate research into design decisions, collaborate on accessibility AA standards, and help front-end teams achieve near 1:1 parity with designs while mentoring colleagues.

Senior Product Designer – Design Systems

You will collaborate with Product Managers, Software Engineers, internal and external subject matter experts, and of course, users to understand the requirements for and ultimately the delivery of a Figma component library and supporting assets. These will be used by our larger team of product designers to create high quality product solutions at speed, improving coherence across our larger product ecosystem, and working towards the global maxima.

You will also partner with our front-end engineers to develop our coded component library getting as close to 1-to-1 parity as possible, to ensure our products can be built at speed and to the same high standards of our designs. You will also partner with our Accessibility Initiative to ensure that our Design System meets AA Standards with supporting functionality baked into components.

Your day-to-day

• Contribute to the visual and interaction craft of the Design System.
• Communicate with both internal and external stakeholders to understand requirements and manage the scope of new components and assets in a fast-paced collaborative environment.
• Be responsible for the planning and execution of your UX efforts and that they are aligned with product development cycles.
• Collaborate and contribute to relevant user research activities.
• Translate user research findings into insights and design improvements.
• Support product teams in the adoption of the Design System.

What you bring to the team:

• Experience working with design systems supporting product ecosystems.
• A professional portfolio displaying skills, with particular emphasis on problem-solving.
• Experience in designing enterprise software products for different platforms in B2B environment.
• Experience in UX/product or service design field and an eye for detail.
• Proficiency in general UX design competences (research, interaction design, visual design) and an eye for detail.
• Skills for interpreting detailed software engineering concepts and being able to design within known limitations.
• Good presentation, negotiation, and networking skills.
• Advanced Figma knowledge and skillset.
• Fluency in both written and spoken English.

Additional points for:

• Familiarity with infrastructure field.
• Prior exposure to 3D/CAD.
• Degree in Human Computer Interaction, Computer Science, User Experience, or related field.
