Job summary

Avery Dennison in Longford, Ireland is seeking a Senior Process Technician to support the efficient running of production operations, ensure product quality, and drive continuous improvement. This on-site role operates on a bi-weekly shift rotation, with morning and evening schedules.

You will standardize practices, assist with equipment upgrades, track run rates, and adhere to safety and quality standards while collaborating across functions to hit site efficiency targets.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3+ years in production/manufacturing, GMP/ISO Class 8 familiarity preferred.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and independent thinking in operations.
  • Proficiency in following production specifications and maintaining records.
  • Leaving Certificate or equivalent; technical/vocational training preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support efficient production operations, ensure product quality and site efficiency targets.

Job Description

The Senior Process Technician supports the efficient running of production operations, ensuring the quality of the product, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement. This role acts as a key technical resource within the production environment, focusing on optimizing processes and maintaining high standards of safety and productivity.

Key responsibilities

This is a fully on-site role utilizing a bi-weekly shift rotation, alternating between morning (6:00am to 2:00pm) and evening (2:00pm to 10:00pm) schedules.

  • Support the efficient running of production operations, ensuring product quality and meeting site-specific efficiency targets.
  • Standardize work practices by reducing ‘waste’ and actively supporting process equipment upgrades and improvements.
  • Improve plan attainment and update run rates as required, ensuring machines achieve scrap and productivity targets.
  • Perform all work in accordance with standard working methods regarding safety, quality, service, and productivity.
  • Implement best practice problem-solving techniques to troubleshoot operational issues and escalate complex problems where appropriate.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, ideally within a GMP or ISO Class 8 cleanroom setting.
  • Strong communication skills with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across functional teams.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to operate as an independent thinker to resolve operational challenges.
  • Proficient in following production and process specifications and maintaining accurate operating records.
  • Leaving Certificate or equivalent; a technical certificate or vocational training in a related field is highly preferred.
