Job summary

IPS is seeking an experienced Lead Designer Process Piping to join the Cork, Ireland office and lead multiple concurrent pharmaceutical and biotech projects. You will manage the full design lifecycle, from concept through 3D model to detailed layouts, coordinating with clients and vendors to deliver compliant, clash-free drawings.

The role requires 15 years of design experience, a Mechanical engineering degree, and strong proficiency with piping design tools such as Autodesk Navisworks, Plant

Qualifications

• 15 years of design experience required.
• Bachelor-level technical or associate degree in Mechanical engineering is required.
• Proven experience with piping design software and GMP process design knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work independently on conceptual and detailed design projects.
• Lead the design process from concept through to detailed drawings.
• Prepare piping and equipment layouts in 3D and 2D drawings.
• Select piping components and coordinate with suppliers for information.
• Produce Piping Plans, Equipment Layout, Section Layout and other drawings.
• Prepare material take-offs and ensure quality control across documents.
• Coordinate with clients and other design disciplines to resolve clashes.
• Contribute to annual performance reviews for staff if applicable.
