Job summary

Harry Walsh Associates Recruitment is seeking a maintenance professional to join a global energy manufacturing site in East Cork. The role focuses on operating and controlling process units, liquid movement and storage on a rotating shift basis, ensuring peak efficiency and safety.

Applicants should have at least 5 years of experience in process controls or related technical fields, with DCS/SCADA exposure and a strong commitment to Health, Safety and Environment standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience with post leaving certificate education in Process Controls, Process Engineering, Engineering Technology, Marine Officer, Apprenticeship in a Trade or Technical role.
• Experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS), SCADA or other industrial control systems would be an advantage.
• Preferably have experience and certification in process plant operation, oil processing, marine operations or related continuous process industry.
• A track record of commitment to upholding the highest Health, Safety and Environment standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate and control Process Units, liquid Movement and Storage on a rotating continuous shift basis.
• Perform routine operator tasks such as monitoring levels, temperatures, and pressures to ensure equipment runs at peak efficiency.
• Maintenance supervision to ensure that mechanical maintenance work is completed safely, efficiently and with long-term reliability of the equipment.
