Job summary

Creane McCormack Limited in Cork seeks a Senior Process Engineer to lead the system design team on life sciences projects, covering production and distribution of biopharma processes. The role is hybrid and based in Cork with immediate start on a 12-month rolling contract.

You will manage planning concepts, cost forecasts, specifications and bills of quantities, and support sales and project setup through execution, drawing on 5+ years in process plant development.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in development, planning, realization and commissioning of process plants in the life sciences industry.
• Excellent technical knowledge of biotechnological processes (USP, DSP, CIP, SIP) and equipment.
• Knowledge of biosafety regulations and related requirements.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team; customer-focused.
• Experience in managing and leading teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the system design team on projects in the life sciences sector.
• Develop planning concepts, cost forecasts and specifications.
• Prepare bills of quantities (specifications) and provide cost estimates.
• Support in sales and project set-up as well as during project execution.

Senior Process Engineer )- Hybrid - Cork Based - Rate Negotiable - Immediate start - 12 Month rolling contracts.

About the role:

Responsible for leading system design team on projects. Systems can include production and distribution of high purity gases and chemicals, upstream and downstream biologics processing, small molecule synthesis and fill/finish. Technical and disciplinary management of the Process Technology group in the Biopharma and Life Sciences Department Development of planning concepts, preparation of cost forecasts as well as preparation of specifications and bills of quantities (specifications) Support in sales and project set-up as well as during project execution.

What youll need:

• Chemical Engineering Degree 5+ years of professional experience in the development, planning, realization and commissioning of process plants in the life science industry
• Excellent technical knowledge in the field of processes and equipment of biotechnological processes (USP, DSP, CIP, SIP, stainless steel and single use technologies) or in the field of pharmaceutical dosage forms (liquids and / or solids or semi-solids)
• Knowledge of relevant requirements and biosafety regulations
• Ability to communicate and work in a team, customer-focused approach and organizational skills
• Experience in managing and leading teams
