Freudenberg Medical Ireland Ltd. in Spiddal is seeking a Senior Process Development Engineer to lead advanced manufacturing process development and transfer to production, with a focus on laser welding and laser cutting for medical devices.

You will own NPI programs, drive robust manufacturing solutions, conduct IQ/OQ/PQ validation, and mentor junior engineers while partnering across Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams.

Formación

• Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Mechatronics or Biomedical Eng.
• 5+ years in medical device or regulated manufacturing.
• Expertise in laser welding and laser cutting.
• Experience transferring processes to production.
• Experience with ISO 13485 regulatory environment.
• Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsabilidades

• Lead development and transfer of manufacturing processes to production.
• Focus on laser welding, laser cutting, and pull band manufacturing.
• Own NPI activities with cross-functional teams.
• Develop robust, cost-effective manufacturing solutions.
• Plan IQ/OQ/PQ validation to support launches.
• Apply DOE, Gauge R&R to optimise performance.
• Maintain technical documentation and risk assessments.
• Drive continuous improvement and mentor junior engineers.
• Manage project timelines and deliverables for NPI.
