Job summary

Freudenberg Medical Ireland Ltd. seeks an experienced engineer to lead end-to-end development and productionization of pull band manufacturing processes.

You will apply laser welding and cutting to create scalable, cost-effective solutions and collaborate on NPI programs with ISO 13485 compliance. You will develop and maintain Product Technical Files, perform risk assessments, and use statistical tools to optimize processes.

Qualifications

• NFQ Level 8 or higher in a technical discipline (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics or Bio-Medical).
• Ideally 5–7 years experience in Medical Device/ Pharma environments.
• Highly effective and articulate communication with the ability to link with people at all levels.
• Lean Six Sigma or Agile Project Management training or certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end development and productionization of pull band manufacturing processes.
• Apply laser welding and laser cutting to develop robust, scalable manufacturing solutions.
• Collaborate on NPI programs ensuring ISO 13485 compliance.
• Develop and maintain Product Technical Files, risk assessments and validations.
• Use statistical tools (R&R, DOE, equivalence tests) to optimize processes.
• Lead Process Validation for final product release and production readiness.
• Mentor junior engineers and support staff; drive project execution using PMBOK/Agile.
