Provide technical support & leadership in the development of new/existing products, processes/systems to drive manufacturing efficiency. Serve as a project team member for automated manufacturing solutions, adhering to the environmental health and safety policies, GAMP 5 methodology and good engineering practice to achieve business objectives
Required A mechanical, process, chemical engineering degree (or similar) with application experience (3+ years) within the medical device or pharmaceutical industry Project management experience within the field of high-speed automation, including vision systems, high-speed multi-axis motion control, machine smart controls, SCADA, MES and robotics Ability to develop detailed project plans that acknowledge the risk associated with developing 1st of a kind solution Experience of external supplier selection & management Good communication and teamwork skills Working knowledge of GAMP 5 Process Validation requirements Process Excellence (Six Sigma) practical experience Experience of internal stakeholder management & communication
Desirable Working knowledge of Design for Manufacture & Design for Assembly methodology Working towards chartered professional engineer or local equivalent Previous working experience in technology development before either in an engineering function or R&D setting. Experience working with external organisations, be that research entities or third-party equipment suppliers. Interest in a broad-based engineering career, with a slant towards mechanical & design engineering from an automated process equipment perspective.
